COVID-19: Halton reports 16 new cases, Milton care centre staff member tests positive

The Region of Halton is reporting more COVID-19 cases today.

Across Halton, we have had 1189 total cases. That is a 16-case increase. 1016 people have recovered and 25 people have died from the novel coronavirus. That means Halton currently has 148 active cases.

Eight of Halton’s 16 new cases came out of Burlington.

In Milton, there have been 313 total cases. That is a three-case increase. We have seen 286 recoveries and four deaths. That puts Milton at 23 active cases.

It was released by the provincial government today that a staff member of Milton’s Bruce Trail Early Learning and Child Care Centre tested positive for COVID-19.
