Milton is getting another public school.
The announcement was made recently by Milton MPP Parm Gill. According to Gill, this is the fifth school approved for Milton in the last two years. The $21.4 million investment will provide a new, quality-learning environment for the students of Milton, as well as new childcare rooms.
- 770 elementary student spaces;
- 88 new licensed childcare spaces; and
- 5 new childcare rooms.
“I will continue to take strong action for our families and students so historic investments, like the new SW#11 school, will continue to happen,” says MPP Gill. “As a father of three, our children’s education is a top priority for me. I am proud to say this is the fifth new school being built in Milton since I was elected in 2018.”
Residents can expect the school to be located north of Britannia Road and east of Tremaine Road.
“From modernizing our curriculum to revitalizing our classrooms and their facilities, we are investing in our students and giving them every tool to achieve their full potential,” says Education Minister Stephen Lecce. “Our financing of the new Milton SW #11 further demonstrates our government’s historic investment in Ontario’s schools and our overall commitment to supporting our students and families.”
