A press conference was held at the Halton Police Headquarters in Oakville this morning (Thursday, September 17th) to provide an update on a Milton murder case.
On June 30th, 16-year old Ezekiel Agyemang of Brampton was found dead on 10 Side Road near Guelph Line in Milton.
Halton Police Chief Stephen Tanner feels for Ezekiel’s family.
Two suspects have since been arrested and charged.
22-year old Tawane Mohamed of Toronto is charged with:
- First Degree Murder
- Kidnapping
29-year old Abdikadir Jumale of Hamilton and Toronto is charged with:
- Kidnapping
Both Mohamed and Jumale have been remanded into custody.
Two more suspects are still wanted.
24-year old Ahmed Ismail of Toronto and 20-year old Stanley Frempong of Toronto are still at large.
It’s believed that Ismail may be in the Calgary-area. That’s because he has reportedly travelled to Calgary since June 30th.
The whereabouts of Frempong are unknown at this time.
Both Ismail and Frempong are believed to be armed and dangerous. If seen, DO NOT APPROACH – instead, call 911 immediately. Pictures of both suspects can be found below.
Chief Tanner says gun violence needs to come to an end.
The investigation has found that the four men were acquaintances with Agyemang. The murder is a result of a dispute that they had, which led to the kidnapping and eventual death of the 16-year old. It is unknown at this time what the dispute was about, nor if Agyemang was originally taken under his will or by force.
Anyone with information about this homicide, or regarding the whereabouts of either/both of the outstanding suspects is asked to contact the Halton Regional Police Service – Homicide Tip Line at 905-825-4776 or the Calgary Police Homicide Tip Line at 403-428-8877.
Tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers “See something? Hear something? Know something? Contact Crime Stoppers” at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or through the web at www.haltoncrimestoppers.ca.
