The Halton District School Board has released a plan to make buildings safe as students return to school.
Before the start of the school day, the parent or guardian of each student will be asked to complete a daily self-assessment, and stay home if they are feeling unwell.
Hand sanitizer stations will be placed at all school designated entrances for students and staff to use as they enter and exit the building.
There will be an increase in physical distance of chairs, tables, and desks in all rooms and some schools will repurpose larger common spaces for larger classes.
Enhanced cleaning and disinfection measures will ensure the physical spaces, equipment, and materials students and staff come into contact with remain safe.
All drinking fountain faucets will be disabled.
