The Milton Community Resource Centre received a big boost from the federal government.
The MCRC will receive a total of $105,000 that will support the continuation of key services and programs they provide to Miltonians
The programs help provide childcare and supplying parents with infant care items through their Infant Food Bank.
The funding was a part of a larger program from the Government of Canada: the Emergency Community Support Fund.
Milton MP Adam van Koeverden says he’s happy to see the investment come through locally.
“I’m glad that our government is investing in local organizations like MCRC, making a difference at the community level. I was thrilled to be joined by our Minister of Families, Children and Social Development the Hon. Ahmed Hussen to announce an incredible and much needed $105,000 for one of Milton’s most important local organizations, the Milton Community Resource Centre.”
The fund provides a $350 million investment that is delivered through United Way Canada.
