Milton-native Kayla Alexander is a professional basketball player, playing Center for the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA. A successful college career at the University of Syracuse led her to become the 8th overall pick in the 2013 WNBA draft. Her athletic accomplishments have even put her on the Milton Walk of Fame! Not only is Alexander a successful professional athlete, but she has made the transition to writing and illustrating, publishing the children’s book, ‘The Magic of Basketball’. It follows the story of Kayla and how basketball helped shape her into the person she is today.
