
Halton Police are reminding residents to slow down on the roads.
They say that even though traffic may be lighter during the COVID-19 outbreak, that’s not an invitation to drive faster.
From May 1st to May 10th, officers saw a spike in stunt driving offences, particularly in the northern end of the region.
11 cars were seized in the ten day span.
Eight of the incidents took place in Halton Hills and three took place in Milton.
The highest speed charged was for a driver going 160 km/h in a posted 80 zone.
That took place on Steeles Avenue in Halton Hills.
