A global company that has a location in Milton is producing face shields for the people in Ontario.
Keter North America is producing 50,000 face shields a week now in its factory in Milton.
VP Marketing for Keter North America, Dave Foster, shares the details of how this all came together.
A key driver behind the company’s decision to prioritize the production of face shields was the goal of keeping plant employees safe during the COVID-19 crisis by outfitting them with the very best PPE.
The company also wanted to respond to the widely held concern expressed by employees for the well-being of frontline healthcare workers.
Foster says he’s proud to see the work the company has done.
Keter employees at the company’s North American plants are now contacting local long-term care facilities, hospitals, and emergency responders to facilitate face shield shipments.
