Halton Police have made some changes to how they’re going to enforce the law during the novel coroanvirus outbreak.
Constable Ryan Anderson says they have set-up a new COVID-19 number for residents to call.
Anderson adds that the new number was created to help streamline information being sent their way.
Anderson lists COVID-19-related issues that can be enforced by the Halton Police.
It’s possible that social distancing may be enforced, but each case is different.
Anderson ends by saying that a lot of calls have been made since the emergency measures were placed recently. He says it’s just people wanting to ensure they have the best information possible in their specific scenarios.
For the duration of the pandemic, if a member of the public wishes to report an incident of non-compliance with the emergency orders, they may contact the Halton Regional Police Service COVID-19 Hotline:
905-825-4722
It is critical that our residents use 911 for emergencies only.
