The Halton Police for the second year in a row has launched the ‘It Can Wait’ program to bring distracted driving awareness to the Halton Region.
The two-week campaign, which will run from Monday, March 2, until Friday, March 13th.
It focuses on enhanced enforcement of distracted driving legislation and education about the risks associated with distracted driving.

Throughout the week, Halton Police will be posting videos on social media of distracted drivers in the Halton Region as part of the campaign.

A reminder, that a first-time offense will result in a fine of $615, a fine of up to $1,000 if a summons is received, or if you fight the ticket in court and you lose three demerit points and receive a 3-day suspension.
