Milton Chamber of Commerce Mayor’s Breakfast highlights education

The Milton Chamber of Commerce held their Breakfast with the Mayor event on Friday.

The main topic of the morning was education, with conversations focusing on the potential Laurier-Conestoga College involvement in the community.

Mayor Gordon Krantz talks about the partnership.

President of Wilfrid Laurier University, Deborah MacLatchy, says they want to build a campus that is fully integrated with the company.

She says they want to focus on want the future offers and help shape it in a positive way.

With a good portion of the tax dollars going towards the school boards there is still a need to grow within the town.

Town of Milton CAO, Andrew Siltala, says they’re working on hard to find a solution.

The Milton Chamber’s next event is the Community Awards Gala.

That is on April 24th at Granite Ridge Golf Club.
