Halton Police searching for a man and his four-year-old daughter in Milton say they’ve found their bodies.
Halton Regional Police say an extensive search was organized Sunday evening after they received word that a man and his young daughter hadn’t returned from an afternoon hike at the Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area.
Given the weather conditions and challenging terrain, the Halton Regional Police Service deployed significant resources including Search Incident Response Team (SIRT), the Mobile Command Unit, frontline officers from all three districts, our K9 Unit, our Tactical Rescue Unit to search Rattlesnake Point and the surrounding area.
At just after 11 p.m. Halton Police say the two bodies were located within the conservation area.
They say next of kin have been notified, though no names or other information about what police are calling this “unimaginable tragedy” were immediately released.
