The Election Writ has been given by the Prime Minister which means that Milton MP Lisa Raitt can officially run for the Federal Election.
On Saturday she held a campaign launch at her headquarters located at 160 Main Street.
Raitt says that she notices a difference in this years election compared to previous ones.
She says one of the local issues that she keeps hearing about is two way all day go service and the need for it in Milton.
However, she says that there could be a solution in the works.
She adds that she has heard that people are not happy with the job the Prime Minister is doing.
The Federal Election is scheduled for October 21st.
